The mission of Mabel T. Caverly Senior Center and Services is to provide support to individuals 55 or older by identifying their emotional and socialization needs;  plan and promote programs to meet those needs and provide a range of services that directly and positively impact their well being. We additionally provide information, referral and outreach as part of our needs-assessment process--emphasizing socialization, entertainment and education.


Services is our Van Transportation Program are available three days a week for shopping, medical appointments and running errands.  Schedule your ride today by calling 907-276-1517.


Dental Services

Grants up to $900 are available to senior residents of Anchorage who are age 55 and older, who meet certain criteria and who do not have insurance coverage for dental work.


Anchorage Senior Friendly Project

Our newest program allows local businesses to join the ever growing movement to capture the senior consumer market. Membership in this program promotes senior friendly practices.

Patches Emergency Services

When grants are available, qualified senior residents of Anchorage may qualify for emergency funds to cover rent, utilities, auto and home repairs.  Bus passes are also available.
